For years parents and teachers have asked us for Latin DVDs to simplify their classroom prep time and to show them all the secrets and tricks that make learning Latin easy. Well, we have answered their calls, thanks to the help of Leigh Lowe. The new Latina Christiana I & II DVDS take the most popular Christian Latin program ever and make it even better.

Latina Christiana DVDs are taught by Leigh Lowe, author of Prima Latina and one of the most popular teachers at the Highlands Latin School. Mrs. Lowe’s engaging personality and experience in front of young students provide a comfortable and inviting environment for introductory Latin study. Simply put, there is no better way to introduce Latin to your children than through Latina Christiana with Leigh Lowe as your instructor.

The Latina Christiana DVDs provide twenty five lessons that are approximately 30 minutes each. They also include review lessons and assistance with difficult exercises. Most importantly, you can have the skill and experience of our best Latin instructor in your home for less than $2 per lesson.

The Latina Christiana DVDs teach directly to the student and cover each lesson in the book, while adding tips and tricks that make learning Latin easy. Using Mrs. Lowe's video instruction, you can add Latin to your curriculum with zero additional prep time in your already busy schedule.

Reviews
  • "We've got the DVDs and are really enjoying them.  There seems to be a lot of extra explanation on them and we just love Mrs. Lowe."
    - S.B., Heritage Christian School in Canada

  • "We just did our first lesson today with the DVDs and they are awesome. We have never done Latin before and my oldest son says he really likes the way Leigh Lowe speaks and the inflection of her voice. He also says he likes the way she will correct herself, like she is really right in front of you."

  • "We use the DVDs as the beginning of each lesson. First we watch the DVD together, the next day dd does her workbook exercise, at some point during the week we watch one of the earlier DVDs as review, we work with flashcards, and we listen to the CD a million times in the car.

I've found the DVDs to be very beneficial. We did the first 14 lessons without them and they've made a big difference. Even before the DVDs, I felt that LC was a great program for non-Latin parents. It's so easy to follow and the explanations are clear. However, the extra explanation in the DVDs has been wonderful."
    - S.B.,  British Columbia

  • " I am absolutely thrilled with the progress that they are making, and with the fact that they (and I've actually heard them say this) love learning Latin."
    - M.V.B., TX

  • "We received the third DVD case on Saturday. Your Latin and Logic courses are excellent, and the DVDs greatly enhance our study.
    Thank you."
    - K. K. , PA

  • "Last year I received the best confirmation as to why we should teach Latin. My daughter was then in 8th Grade and had completed LC I and LC II. After taking the Iowa tests for the first time, she commented that the vocabulary section was pretty easy because she could almost always determine a Latin root, and then choose the best answer even though she was unfamiliar with the English word. (She was also quick to point out that any study of English vocabulary she had done so far seemed to her a waste of time. That was a nice try, but I disagree.)
I am sure that improving English vocabulary is only one of many good reasons to teach Latin."
    - B., LC I Yahoo List

  • "Thought I would weigh in on this quickly. At our house, the DVDs are a huge hit with the boys.... Each lesson is about half an hour, and the material is thoroughly covered."
    - C., MN

  • "I don't know whether anyone has answered this, but I'll give my two cents. We have been using the DVD and we really like it. We watch it on Monday and it includes Leigh Lowe teaching the lesson for the week. She covers review, then new vocabulary and/or grammar, vocabulary derivatives, and prayer review. On Tuesday we do review and copy vocabulary and the new line of the prayer into a notebook and recite the prayers as we have learned them so far. Wednesdays we do the review and translate portions of the workbook. On Thursday we listen to the CD and do an activity to review cumulative vocabulary. Friday we finish up with the last page of the workbook section for translating and the Fun activities. I don't think I would be able to teach as effectively without having seen Leigh do the teaching first. I think it really helps, especially since I am learning along with my daughter."
